Founded in 1950 by the Felician Sisters Ladywood High School is a Catholic/Christian, all female, college-preparatory school devoted to developing young women intellectually, socially, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually.

A national leader for excellence in education Ladywood was choosen as an "Outstanding American High School" in Metro Detroit by US News & World Report and recongnized by the ACT Education Division as exceeding performance scores nationally.

Ladywood Highlights: Enrollment of approximately 450 students in grades 9-12, 14:1 student/teacher ratio, class sizes of 15-25 students, general; AP and on-line courses, College courses offered at Madonna University and Michigan Virtual University.

Drawing young ladies from 40 communities and 5 counties within the Metro Detroit Area and suburbs, our student body comes from a magnitude of different backgrounds representing the cultural and socio-economic diversity of today's society.

Ladywood educates and assists students in developing into well-rounded individuals. Be it academic, athletic, service or social, Ladywood offers a numerous co-curricular, fine arts adn athletic programs that draw 71% participation.
